PRESENTERS:

Dr. Robert W. Chase is a professor and chair of the Department of Petroleum Engineering and Geology at Marietta College. He has served in that position since 1978.  Dr. Chase holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from Penn State. Prior to arriving at Marietta, he served as an assistant professor of petroleum engineering at West Virginia University from 1976 to 1978. He worked previously for Halliburton Services, Gulf Research and Development Company, and the Department of Energy and has served as a consultant to Columbia Gas, NiSource, Dominion Resources, EQT, Cabot Oil and Gas, and CONSOL Energy/CNX.

Tom Stewart serves as the executive vice president of the Ohio Oil and Gas Association (OOGA), having been elected to that position in September 1991. Stewart is the chief executive officer of the Association and its operations; editor of the Association’s publications; an industry spokesman to media outlets and other forums; treasurer of the Association’s political action committee; and serves as the public policy advocate in Columbus and Washington D.C. on behalf of OOGA’s members’ interests.

Rebecca Heimlich is the American Petroleum Institute’s Ohio Campaign Manager. Heimlich is overseeing the organization’s grassroots educational outreach efforts in the Buckeye state. Heimlich is also the director of the Ohio Energy Resource Alliance, which is an alliance among the Ohio Petroleum Council (a division of API), the Ohio Oil and Gas Association, the Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program, Energy In Depth, the Buckeye Energy Forum, and America’s Natural Gas Alliance.

Craig Kasper, P.E. is Chief Executive Officer of Hull & Associates, Inc., a project development and engineering firm helping businesses and government solve complex challenges related to land, energy, and the environment. As CEO, Craig is responsible for all strategic business decisions in the firm’s market areas: Alternative Energy, Shale Oil and Gas, Waste Management, Environmental, and Brownfields. In addition to his role as CEO, he has provided leadership on the development of many key real estate and alternative energy assets. Kasper routinely lectures at the Harvard Graduate School of Design and Harvard Business School on firm management, urban redevelopment, and energy. He is currently leading the firm’s strategic approach to the growth of the shale industry supply chain in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

Ron Cochran is a Project Executive for Kokosing Construction Company. Mr. Cochran’s background is composed of 40 years of experience in the construction of complex heavy industrial and commercial projects throughout the Eastern United States. He has extensive experience in “fast tracked” projects requiring integration of design and construction schedules to meet clients’ schedule needs. He is skilled in coordinating large staffs; performing all aspects of managing large projects; and soliciting, negotiating, and managing subcontracts. Mr. Cochran is also currently the Project Executive managing the MarkWest project at Langley #3 Gas Plant in Langley, Kentucky.

Earn Continuing Education Credit: By participating in this course, you will earn 4.0 hours of continuing professional development credit.

Fee: $65.00.  Fee covers: course material, morning break refreshments and CPD certificate.

Cancellation policy: if you cannot attend, please notify us by March 1, 2013 and we will refund your fee.  Cancellations after this date and no-shows are subject to a $25 administration fee.  Participant may enroll a substitute any time before course starts.
