Commencement Speakers Named
Mike DeWine JD '72, former U.S. Senator from Ohio, will be speaker for the law commencement at 2 p.m. on May 11 in the ONU Sports Center. More than 100 students will receive degrees, including eight international students in ONU's LL.M. program in democratic governance and the rule of law.
DeWine served as Ohio's senator from 1995 to 2007. He is currently the Ohio chairman for Arizona Sen. John McCain, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.
On May 18, Justice Evelyn Lundberg Stratton of the Supreme Court of Ohio will be the speaker for ONU's 2008 undergraduate commencement. She is active in adoption issues and an advocate for people with mental illness. More than 625 degrees will be conferred at the 2 p.m. ceremony in the ONU Sports Center.
