Travel Territory:
Eastern Ohio, New York and Pennsylvania
Years in College Admissions:
I am in my 10th year.
"Why should a student choose ONU?"
It's really hard to pick just one reason. I feel as though our academic reputation combined with the opportunities for research and hands-on experience are the biggest reasons to choose ONU. Attending a school where every class is taught by a professor and not a teaching assistant or grad assistant is also a big draw for students.
"What is your favorite thing about college admissions?"
I love working with families. Building relationships and getting to know the students and their parents are the things I enjoy most about my job. In addition, every family and every student is uniquely different and that's what makes my job fun.
"What is your favorite thing about Ada?"
I love Ada because it's a true Midwest American city. It's not overrun with big businesses and tons of traffic, yet I don't have to leave town to find a grocery store, fast food restaurant, or movie theatre. The people here are extremely friendly and they help make the transition from high school to college even easier for our students.
"What is your favorite thing about your travel territory?"
It has to be the people...the students, the parents, and the guidance counselors I get to work with are the best! Also, when time allows, traveling eastern Ohio allows me to occasionally meet up with family and friends I wouldn't normally get a chance to see.
