ONU Freed Center Welcomes Delicious Children’s Musical 'Pinkalicious'
Ohio Northern welcomes the delectable children's musical "Pinkalicious" to the Freed Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, Jan. 18 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
This rose-tinted musical follows cupcake-loving Pinkalicious Pinkerton as she over-indulges on sweet treats, turning herself pink from head to toe. Based on the book by Victoria Kann and Elizabeth Kann, "Pinkalicious" transports audiences both young and old into the story of a little girl who learns that moderation is always best. "Pinkalicious" is appropriate for children aged 5 through 10, yet it is enjoyable for all members of the family.
"Pinkalicious" is being brought to ONU by the New York-based Vital Children's Theatre Company. The musical is under the direction of Teresa K. Pond, with music and lyrics by composer John Gregor. Cast members include Molly Gilman (Allison/Dr. Wink), Mathew Pelliccia (Mr. Pinkerton), Erin Wegner Brooks (Mrs. Pinkerton), Greg Barresi (Peter), and Meg Phillips as Pinkalicious.
Tickets are $10 for general admission. The Freed Center box office is open Monday-Friday from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Phone orders are accepted with MasterCard, VISA or Discover by calling (419) 772-1900.
