Tokaji to speak on “The Sordid Business of Democracy”
Daniel P. Tokaji, assistant professor of law at The Ohio State University, will begin the series on September 21, 2006, with a presentation entitled, “The Sordid Business of Democracy,” at 11:30 a.m. in the Moot Court Room (129) of the College of Law.
The events are free and open to the public.
Tokaji main areas of interest are law of democracy, civil rights, freedom of speech, disability rights, federal courts, and civil procedure. He is interested in the voting rights of people of color, non-English speaking voters, and people with disabilities.
His previous education includes a J.D. from Yale Law School and an A.B. from Harvard College. He has been quoted in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Columbus Dispatch, Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune, and the USA Today. He has made appearances in the NBC Nightly News, Good Morning America, the Today Show, Fox News, National Public Radio, along with numerous others.
