ONU Hosts ASCE Annual Joint Meeting

The Ohio Northern University student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) will host the ASCE Annual Joint Meeting with the Toledo Section on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. in the McIntosh Ballroom.

This year’s focus will be the Burj Dubai Tower and the featured speaker will be ONU alumnus Christopher Brown, SE of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, LLP.

Brown received his bachelor of science in civil engineering from ONU and went on to receive his master of science from Purdue University. Working as structural engineer both in the United States and abroad, he has worked on projects including: the 60-story AT&T Corporate Center/35-story USG Building complex in Chicago, the Korean World Trade (Convention) Center complex, the Korean Airlines (KAL) Operation Center, and the Lotte World Tower under construction in Seoul, Korea. Brown has also worked on various projects in Dubai, UAE and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
