ONU Presents Society of Illustrators Art Exhibit
Ohio Northern University will host the 2006-2007 Traveling Exhibition of the Society of Illustrators Nov. 6-17 in the Elzay Gallery of Art and the Stambaugh Studio Theatre Gallery.
The exhibition will feature more than 40 works that are a representative sample of the best artwork from the Society of Illustrators in six categories: sequential, editorial, book, advertising, institutional, and non-commissioned illustrations. Illustrators featured in the show include Brad Holland, Gary Kelley, Tim O’Brien and Jack Unruh.
The Society of Illustrators is a national institution, headquartered in New York, with over 900 professional artists who work in illustration, cartooning, animation and graphic design. Every year, the exhibition is first shown at the Museum of American Illustration in New York City before traveling to venues throughout North America. This is the 25th year that the exhibition has traveled to college campuses.
Admission to the Elzay Gallery of Art and the Stambaugh Studio Theatre Gallery is free and open to the public daily from noon-5 p.m. or by appointment. For more information, contact the ONU department of art at (419) 772-2160 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
