ONU Art Department Faculty Featured in Exhibit

The work of current and former Ohio Northern University’s art department faculty will be featured in an exhibit presented by ArtSpace/Lima at the Ellen Nelson Gallery from Nov. 10-Dec. 31.

An opening reception will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10.

The exhibit features six to seven works by each of 11 ONU faculty members who are current or former full-time faculty associated with the university at some time since 1977, when the first bachelor’s of fine arts degree program was introduced.

Current and former faculty members featured in the exhibit are: Bruce Chesser, ceramics; James DeVore, painting; Melissa Eddings-Mancuso, painting, printmaking; Tom Gordon, printmaking, drawing; Judith Greavu, sculpture; Bruce Grimes, ceramics; William J. Mancuso, painting, drawing; Herb Reith, painting; Brit Rowe, graphic design; Luke Sheets, ceramics; and John West, printmaking, painting.

The exhibit’s curator Bruce Chesser, is a retired faculty member who taught at ONU from 1970 to 2002.

The ArtSpace/Lima Ellen Nelson Gallery is located on the northwest corner of the Lima town square. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m.
