ONU student receives national SAE award
Matt Castellucci, a senior mechanical engineering major from Alliance, Ohio, has been chosen as one of only 25 elected student participants for the third annual Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Leadership Development Program.
Castellucci will participate in the Section Officers Leadership Seminar (SOLS) on Jan. 25-27, 2007 at the Crowne Plaza Universal in Orlando, Florida.
The focus of the seminar is to further develop leadership skills that are imperative for those that work in the automotive and the mobility industries. The leadership program falls under the SAE's Power Track initiative that is a career pathway designed to accelerate the careers of younger SAE members.
Dr. John-David Yoder, associate professor of mechanical engineering, nominated Castellucci for this award based on the leadership he shows as the president of ONU's student chapter of SAE.
