ONU Student Dies in Traffic Accident

Ohio Northern University is saddened by the death of Robert H. Rittenhouse in a traffic accident at about 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 15.

He was a freshman in general studies from Belle Center, Ohio.

Calling hours will be in Bellefontaine, Tuesday, December 19, 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, 321 North Main Street.

The funeral service will begin at 11 am, Wednesday, December 20, First United Methodist Church, corner of Main and Sandusky, Bellefontaine, OH.

Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, State Route 29, Mutual, OH.

The university will be providing (free) transportation, using university vehicles, to all students who wish to attend the funeral. Please contact Justin Courtney, Director of Residence Life, j-courtney@onu.edu, to reserve a seat. Reservations for university transportation will need to be made prior to 2 pm on Tuesday, December 19. Details about when vehicles will leave on Wednesday morning, will be provided via email by 5 pm on Tuesday.
