ONU Schedules Community Wellness Fair
Ohio Northern University will host a Community Wellness Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Jan. 10, in the McIntosh Center.
The event is free and open to the public.
The fair includes booths from area businesses, health care providers, campus organizations and student groups. Those attending can take part in cholesterol and glucose testing, hypertension screening, fitness screening, osteoporosis awareness and body composition testing.
In addition, information will be available on diabetes education, family planning, domestic violence, breast cancer awareness, workplace safety, HIV prevention, rehabilitation, intellectual wellness, anti-smoking, sleep disorders, healthy food choices, hypertension treatment and prevention, eating disorders and dealing with stress.
Community organizations participating in the Wellness Fair will include The Lupus Foundation of America, Allen County Health Department, Hardin County Family Planning, Hardin Memorial Hospital, Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation, Ohio Consumers' Counsel, Ohio Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, Inc., Lima Memorial Hospital System, LMHS Laboratory and Crossroads Crisis Center.
