Inaugural WGREN roundtable discussion slated

The Ohio Northern University Working Group on Religion, Ethics and Nature is holding its inaugural roundtable discussion on "What are the scientific, religious, social and ethical questions?" at 7:30 p.m. in the McIntosh Ballroom on Thursday, Feb. 1.

The WRGEN roundtable focuses on global climate changes and its scientific, religious, social and ethical implications. Panelists will consider the question that climate change poses in their diverse areas and why it is important that individuals address these questions.

Members of the panelists are: David Berger, mayor of Lima; Wayne Albertson, senior pastor of Ada First United Methodist Church, Vernon LaSala, chaplain at ONU; Mark Dixon assistant professor of philosophy at ONU; Jay Mager, assistant professor of biological sciences at ONU.

Forest Clingerman, assistant professor of religion at ONU, will serve as moderator.

The program is sponsored in part through a Metanexus Local Societies Initiative Grant.
