Staley presents at state conference
Lauren Staley, a senior in communications and public relations from Tipp City, Ohio, received the award for top undergraduate paper at the Ohio Communications Association (OCA) Conference Oct. 4-5 for her research on Calvin Klein.
Staley conducted research on Calvin Klein and the perception formed through the use of sex in advertising. Staley conducted this research as a part of her communications research class here at ONU last spring. She was encouraged by her professor, Dr. Alisa Agozzino, to submit her work the OCA paper competition. Staley was informed in advance her paper had been chosen for presentation at the conference and was presented the award for the top undergraduate paper this past weekend at the conference.
The OCA is an organization that supports and encourages the work of communication scholars and practitioners in the state of Ohio. This year OCA held its 78th annual conference at Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio. The theme for this year’s conference was Capitalizing on Communications, which celebrated how
