Operation Diabetes provided point of care testing for family members participating in the event. PAWS (The Professional Association of Women in Science) provided educational displays relevant to diabetes control, donated a large stuffed animal for the raffle, helped diabetic children make their own carb-controlled trail mix, and helped with face painting and tattoos. One member also wore the JDRF mascot costume, Rufus the Bear, and played, hugged and danced with a lot of happy youngsters.
