Graduate Spotlight: Nicole DiVincenzo

Nicole DiVincenzo, MPPA ’14, is a recent graduate (May 2014) of the MPPA program. When asked why she chose the MPPA program at ONU, DiVincenzo stated, “What really sparked my interest in this program was when I took a fraud class in my undergrad program. It was really interesting to me, and I guess forensics has always been a very interesting topic.”

DiVincenzo interned with Veritas Solutions Group LLC and was offered a permanent full-time position with the firm upon graduation. When asked about her internship experience, DiVincenzo replied, “Through this program, I was able to learn time management from doing an internship while being a full-time student.” DiVincenzo now works as a staff forensic accountant at Veritas Solutions Group. “I really learned a lot about forensic accounting and auditing that I am able to use every single day in my job.”

DiVincenzo highly recommends the MPPA program. “It’s an amazing program. All of my teachers and classmates are very helpful, especially with me living so far away from campus. Any time I needed anything, they were always there for me. It’s been an amazing experience, and I would do it all over again if I could. I love this field! I love going into companies and trying to look through their financial statements and documentation and trying to find errors and fraud. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in auditing or forensic accounting.”
