Join us for Family Day on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014!
Family Day is an exciting ONU tradition that invites families to visit ONU for a fun-filled Saturday to experience campus life. Families can join their student or students on the ONU campus to see what a fall Saturday is like in Ada, Ohio. The crisp fall air, leaves in autumn hues, and an exciting lineup of events provide a chance for bonding and fun in Ada. Family Day is held in conjunction with the Ada Harvest and Herb festival, a village-wide celebration in downtown Ada that is kicked off with a parade and includes booths offering a variety of food, crafts and games. Besides the festival, the ONU campus will be alive with events such as bingo, family trivia, men’s varsity soccer, and a free concert by the a cappella band Six Appeal.
Registration for Family Day is free, and all families who sign up will receive an ONU commemorative item. The robust schedule provides opportunities for activities, but families are welcome to create their own fun as well. Most families attend a few Family Day events and then visit local restaurants with their students to taste the local cuisine. Family Day is hosted by the Student Planning Committee and the Office of Residence Life, but it is made possible through collaboration with other offices on campus. This year, Family Day will feature additional events hosted by Alpha Xi Delta and Sigma Phi Epsilon, ONU Athletics, and the Freed Center for the Performing Arts.
