Pharmacy student awarded Good Neighbor Pharmacy Scholarship
Nicholas Newman, a sixth-year pharmacy major from London, Ohio, has been awarded the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Scholarship. In 2010, ONU partnered with AmerisourceBergen Corporation to create the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Endowed Scholarship Fund, which is available to ONU pharmacy students seeking careers in retail community pharmacy.
Vote for Lovejoy and Rosenbaum in Elite 89 contest
The NCAA has launched a contest that will allow fans to vote for their favorite Elite 89 Award winners from the 2013-14 academic school year. Ohio Northern had two student-athletes win the prestigious award. Junior wrestler Cody Lovejoy earned his second straight Elite 89 Award this past season. Winning an award for ONU in cross country was junior Nathan Rosenbaum. To vote, click here.

Keller to appear on 'This Week in Law'
Deidré A. Keller, associate professor of law, will be a guest on "This Week in Law" on the TWiT.tv Netcast Network. The program will begin at 2 p.m., Friday, at this link.
Russ Crawford, associate professor of history, is author of a chapter in the new book "A Companion to American Sport History," edited by Steven Riess and published by Wiley Blackwell. The chapter is “Sports Since the 1960s” and covers the historiography of scholarship on sport since 1960. The publisher says the book “presents a collection of original essays that represent the first comprehensive analysis of scholarship relating to the growing field of American sport history.”

Works by Ohio Northern University’s art and design faculty and alumni earned awards at the 58th Annual June Art Exhibit at the Wassenberg Art Center in Van Wert, Ohio.

Ohio Northern art and design faculty and alumni are part of ArtSpace/Lima and The Lima Area Watercolor Society’s first-ever joint juried exhibit held from June 14 through July 26.
Sheets awarded residency
Luke Sheets, assistant professor of art, has been awarded a month-long residency that will culminate with a presentation at the highly respected Guldagergaard International Ceramic Research Center in Denmark. He will present a session called “Slip Casting for a Wood-fired Aesthetic.”
Keller presents work-in-progress
Deidre Keller, associate professor of law, presented a work-in-progress, “Alienation, Over Investment, and Fetish: Narratives of Ownership in Selected Novels of Toni Morrison's Novels” at the eighth annual Lutie Lytle Black Women Law Faculty Writing Workshop held June 27 in Madison, Wis.
Study to be published
Amy Fanous, HealthWise resident, Karen Keir, professor of clinical pharmacy, Sara Terrell, assistant professor of exercise physiology, and Michael Rush, director of HealthWise, are authors of a study to be published in the next issue of the American Journal of Helath-System Pharmacists (AJHP). The topic is the impact of a 12-week pharmacist-directed walking program.
