Ohio Northern University presents award-winning a cappella group ‘Take 6’
Ohio Northern University’s Freed Center for the Performing Arts presents the award-winning a cappella group Take 6 on Saturday, March 15, at 7:30 p.m.
Take 6, the most awarded a cappella group in history, with 10 Grammy Awards, 10 Dove Awards, a Soul Train Award, two NAACP Image Award nominations and more, knows no musical bounds. Heralded by Quincy Jones as the “baddest vocal cats on the planet,” the group is comprised of six virtuoso voices united in crystal-clear harmony against a backdrop of syncopated rhythms, innovative arrangements, and funky grooves that bubble into an intoxicating brew of gospel, jazz, R&B and pop. With praise from luminaries such as Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Brian Wilson, Ella Fitzgerald and Whitney Houston, the multiplatinum-selling sextet has toured across the globe, has collaborated across genres, and is recognized as the pre-eminent a cappella group in the world.
Tickets for this event are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, $10 for ONU faculty and staff, and $5 for children and ONU students.
