20th anniversary Celebration Dance Concert ONU’s Freed Center for the Performing Arts will present the 20th anniversary Celebration Dance Concert, featuring the ONU Dance Company and alumni, on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 2, at 2 p.m. The ONU Dance Company alumni, along with current members of the ONU Dance Company, have been invited to perform, teach master classes, design costumes, design lights and choreograph.
Chinese Folk Pottery ONU’s Elzay Gallery of Art is hosting The Art of the Everyday: Chinese Folk Pottery through Feb. 21. The exhibit features the works of Minyao contemporary Chinese folk pottery from the collection of Marie Woo and John and Susanne Stephenson.
Law welcomes visiting scholar Xhafer Tahiri from Kosovo Xhafer Tahiri has joined the Pettit College of Law at Ohio Northern University as a visiting scholar. A member of the parliament (MP) of the Republic of Kosovo, Tahiri will be at ONU through the month of January, teaching a special State Building class to students in ONU’s LL.M. Program in Democratic Governance and Rule of Law.
PTSD research published Dr. Phillip Zoladz, assistant professor of psychology, and his research team have published a journal article, “Blunted corticosterone response to acute predator stress results in long-term spatial memory impairment,” in the journal SOJ Psychology.

Scholarship to fund risk management and insurance students ONU has established the John J. Bishop and The Motorists Insurance Group Endowed Scholarship Fund to benefit students in ONU’s new risk management and insurance (RMI) program, which will be introduced by the Dicke College of Business Administration in fall 2014. The scholarship will provide financial support for qualified ONU freshmen who pursue professional careers in insurance or risk management through the RMI major.
