Top Stories ONU among best in Ohio bar passage rate
Ninety percent of Ohio Northern University’s law school graduates passed Ohio’s July 2013 bar examination on their first attempt, and 90 percent of all ONU law graduates who took the bar passed. ONU’s Pettit College of Law ranked second among Ohio law schools in overall passage rate and third in the passage rate of first-time takers. Richard Bales, dean of the Pettit College of Law, said, “ONU Law’s consistently high bar passage rate over the last several years reflects the strong work ethic and abilities of our students and the high caliber of legal education they receive at ONU Law.” Crates named Ada’s Citizen of the Year
Agnes Crates, a longtime village of Ada worker who recently turned 100 years old, was named Ada’s Distinguished Citizen of the Year at the 48th annual Town and Gown Banquet at Ohio Northern University on Monday, Nov. 4.
Choruses to perform fall concert
The Ohio Northern University Men’s and Women’s Choruses will perform their fall concert in the Snyder Recital Hall of the Presser Hall on Sunday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.
ONU to celebrate veterans with wreath-laying ceremony
Ohio Northern will celebrate the contributions of American service members with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Henry Solomon Lehr statue adjacent to James F. Dicke Hall on Monday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Artists Against Hunger luncheon, Nov. 16
The Ohio Northern University Department of Art and Design will hold its fourth annual Artists against Hunger luncheon in the Wilson Art Gallery on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 11 a.m. The Artists Against Hunger luncheon offers the community an opportunity to give back in exchange for a lunch and a handcrafted ceramic bowl made by students from Ohio Northern University and Hardin County.
New NMR showcased at open house ONU's Chemistry and Biochemistry Department will introduce its new acquisition of a 400 MHz nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer (NMR) and commemorate 40 years of NMR spectroscopy at ONU with an open house event in the Mathile Center for the Natural Sciences Room 248 on Friday, Nov. 8, at 3 p.m.
