Student honored for research paper
Katee Johnson, a junior public relations major with a minor in political science from Arlington, Ohio, presented a research paper at the Ohio Communication Association (OCA) annual conference, Oct. 4-5, at Marietta College.
The paper, completed for a public relations research course, is titled “Attribute Agenda Setting and Framing of Political Messages: A Comparison of News Media and Presidential Responses to School Shootings." Johnson submitted the paper and was chosen to present is as part of a panel/workshop titled "Everyday Influences in Everyday Life: Media and the World Around Us."
On the second day of the conference, she received the award for the Ohio Communication Association's Top Undergraduate Research Paper.
