The Community Economic Development Center (CEDC) at Ohio Northern University opens its 2013-14 entrepreneurship workshop series in the Dicke Forum on Thursday, Sept. 26. The topic of the workshop will be "Marketing your product, success and failures. Making the Milestone system work" with Dennis D. Stripe. This event is free and open to the public.
OhioDance Fall Festival and Conference
The 2013 OhioDance Fall Festival and Conference, “Dance Matters: The More You Know,” will be held at Ohio Northern University from Sept. 27-29. The three-day event is co-sponsored by ONU and OhioDance. The OhioDance Festival and Conference, an annual celebration of dance through master classes, workshops, discussions and performances, is expected to attract more than 200 individuals from the state of Ohio. Panel to discuss ‘Crises in the Middle East’
Ohio Northern University’s Phi Beta Delta honorary society for international scholars presents “Crises in the Middle East: A Panel Discussion” in the Dicke Forum on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Bill Robinson Field Dedication
ONU will dedicate the new artificial turf field in Dial-Roberson Stadium in honor of Bill Robinson, BSEd ’61, ACIT ’71, ACIT ’89, Hon. D. ’05, H of F ’05, on Saturday, Oct. 5. The dedication ceremony will take place at halftime of the ONU vs. Mount Union game and will continue with a post-game reception outside the stadium.
Kremlin Chamber Orchestra, Oct. 10
ONU’s Department of Music presents the Kremlin Chamber Orchestra on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 8 p.m. The concert will take place in the Snyder Recital Hall in Presser Hall and is free and open to the public.
‘Accounting Pilot and Bridge Project’
ONU’s Dicke College of Business Administration and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants are hosting a three-day training program on the Accounting Pilot and Bridge Project (APBP) from Oct. 13-15. Dan Deines, CPA, the KPMG Peat Marwick professor of accounting at Kansas State University, will oversee the three-day session on APBP for 20 Ohio high school teachers.
Tuition Exchange Information Session Full-time employees who will have a child enrolled in college during 2013-2014 as first-time freshmen and all other ranks, are invited to learn about the Tuition Exchange Inc. program in a special session at 4 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, in McIntosh Room 7. Questions may always be directed to Dr. Juliet Hurtig.
Constitution Day, Sept. 30
ONU will observe Constitution Day with a program at 2 p.m., Monday, Sept. 30, in the Moot Court Room 129 in the College of Law. A short film from The Constitution Project, “Search and Seizure: Mapp vs. Ohio,” will be followed by a question and answer session with Bryan Ward, associate dean and professor of law. Andromeda on display
ONU’s Astronomy Club will host a free public event spotlighting the Andromeda Galaxy from 8 to 10 p.m., Friday, Sept. 27, at the ONU Observatory. Dr. Justin Pinkney, professor of physics and astronomy will give a short presentation at 9 p.m., followed by a question and answer session.
