Patrick Fisher, a senior in creative writing from Tipp City, Ohio, and Chris Matejka, BA ’13, and assistant ONU soccer coach, have won second place in an international screenplay contest sponsored by Northwest Ohio Screenwriters in affiliation with the Northwest Ohio Independent Film Festival.
The second place prize is $100 and a table reading of the script by ONU professor and actor John Armstrong on Saturday, Sept. 20, at 1 p.m. at the Northwest Ohio Film Festival at the Lima Civic Center.
The first prize includes $300 and a professional review of a script by Ohio writer Erik Bork who won Emmy and Golden Globe awards for some of his writing/producing work.
The final judge was Danny Kellermeyer, BA ’13, history and graduate of one the screenwriting MFA program at Spaulding University. He teaches English at the University of Northwest Ohio
