“Trooper” (1909)

A blatant display of energy and power, “Trooper” was Remington’s last sculpture. “Trooper” features an authentically outfitted trooper of the plains, circa 1868. The trooper is supported by his horse, forming a team. All four of the cavalry horse’s hooves are off the ground, giving the illusion that the pair is flying. “Trooper” is located near the pond where it can “run.”
