Fireworks highlight ONU Homecoming weekend

The fireworks extravaganza will cap off a full day of activities on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Dial-Roberson Stadium. A variety of events are scheduled throughout a weekend that has been billed as "Lights, Camera, Homecoming."
The annual Stefanie Spielman Walk/Run for Breast Cancer kicks things off Saturday at 8:30 a.m., followed by such activities as jewelry-making sessions, an ONU alumni baseball game, tours of the various colleges and the traditional homecoming parade at 10:30 a.m. The dedication of the Henry Solomon Lehr statue will occur at 11 a.m.
A fun-filled tailgating party (prior to ONU's game against nationally ranked Mount Union) begins at 11:30 a.m. Carnival rides and games are also part of the pre-game festivities.
Herman's Hermits headlines this year's homecoming concert, which commences Saturday at 8 p.m. in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts.
