Vocal sensation Toxic Audio to perform at ONU

Ohio Northern University Freed Center for the Performing Arts invites audiences to enjoy the vocal power of international music sensation Toxic Audio on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 8 p.m.

Comprised of five vocalists, Toxic Audio promises audiences will never again underestimate the power of the human voice after hearing the award-winning a cappella ensemble. Featuring mind-blowing harmonies and vocal instrumentation, Toxic Audio is hailed as a musical experience unlike any other.

The five "toxins" include "Rap Master" Jeremy James, "Lyric Queen" Shalisa James, "Scat Girl" Michelle Mailhot-Valines, "Boss Bass Man" Rene Ruiz, and "Human Beat Box" Paul Sperrazza. Since their 1998 debut, Toxic Audio has appeared on national television and garnered the 2004 Drama Desk Award for "Unique Theatrical Experience." In addition, Toxic Audio's 2003 album, Chemistry, was named "Album of the Year" by the Contemporary A Cappella Society of America.

Tickets are $25 for general admission. The Freed Center box office is open Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Phone orders are accepted with MasterCard, VISA or Discover by calling (419) 772-1900.
