Relay for Life raises nearly $16,000

ONU's Colleges Against Cancer hosted the annual Relay for Life April 19-20, 2013. The students raised nearly $16,000 this year. Jenny Kmic, a senior majoring in public relations with a minor in marketing from Delta, Ohio, was the honorary survivor this year.

Among the students involved as officers and chairpersons of various committees, special thanks go to Jaclyn Purgert, fifth-year pharmacy student from Sagamore Hills, Ohio, Victoria Cho a third-year pharmacy student from Olmsted Falls, Ohio, and Vanja Raduka, a second-year pharmacy student from Barberton, Ohio, who spearheaded this year's event. Their dedication and hard work made this year's Relay for Life a great success. Robin White, assistant professor of nursing and Mark Cruea, assistant professor of communication serve as faculty advisors.
