Walk to lecture for Kiplinger Fellowship Program
Randy Walk, associate director of multimedia development in the Communications and Marketing department, is a returning guest lecturer for the Kiplinger Fellowship Program in Public Affairs Reporting at The Ohio State University. He will be teaching mobile journalism and video storytelling.
Before coming to ONU in 2010, he was an online producer for The Columbus Dispatch. For 14 years, he was a video editor on live sports broadcasts for various clients including: FOX, ABC and ESPN. His work has been recognized by: the Associated Press, the Ohio News Photographers Association, The Society of Professional Journalists, NPPA and The Press Club of Cleveland. He has a bachelor’s degree in radio-TV from Kent State University and a master’s in information science from Kent State.
The Kiplinger Program in Public Affairs Journalism is dedicated to helping journalists unite rigorous reporting with digital storytelling so they can learn how to engage in social media and develop innovative online projects that inform wide audiences. It offers short-term fellowships to help reporters make better use of new online tools and channels.
