ONU receives NACDS Foundation grant to conduct health fairs
The Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy was awarded a grant from the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) Foundation in conjunction with the Million Hearts initiative to conduct area health fairs in March as part of the “Heart to Heart Community Health Fairs” campaign.
ONU, Walmart establish endowed leadership scholarship
Ohio Northern University has established the Walmart and Sam’s Club Endowed Leadership Scholarship Fund for the Rudolph H. Raabe College of Pharmacy.

College of Engineering to host robotic football game against Notre Dame
Students from Ohio Northern University’s T.J. Smull College of Engineering have created a team of robotic football players to compete in the fifth annual University of Notre Dame robotic football competition on Saturday, April 6, at 7 p.m. in the Ohio Northern University King Horn Sports Center. The event is free and open to the public
Carhart Symposium, April 12
The ONU College of Law will host the Carhart Symposium in the College of Law’s Moot Court Room on Friday, April 12, at 9 a.m. Jon Eddy, professor of law and director of the Asian Law center at the University of Washington’s School of Law, will deliver the featured address. There will be a panel discussion to follow with John M. Breem, Zachary Calo, Asifa Quraishi-Landes and David Pimentel.
36th annual Law Review Symposium, April 19
Ohio Northern University presents the 36th annual Law Review Symposium, “Congress on the Red Carpet: Legislation Impacting the Entertainment and Social Media Industries,” in the Pettit College of Law’s Moot Court Room on Friday, April 19. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. This symposium is open to the public.
Construction closes Lima Avenue
To allow construction on West Lima Avenue the street is officially closed from the Ada corporation line to Klingler Road/Township Road 35 until about Aug. 23. During this time, only residents who live along the construction area will have access.
‘Lingering Effects of the Troubles’
Hannah Lomax-Vogt will speak on “Northern Ireland Today and the Lingering Effects of the Troubles” at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 4, in the Dicke Forum as part of the Phi Beta Delta International Forum.
Laboratory continuing education program to be presented
ONU’s third annual Medical Laboratory Science Continuing Education program will be held at 4 p.m., April 17, in Room 112 of the Mathile Center for the Natural Sciences. It is sponsored by the ONU Professional Association of Medical Laboratory Students (PAMLS).
Honors Day 2013
Honors Day will be held Saturday, April 27, in recognition of the scholarly achievement and service of ONU students and faculty. The convocation will be at 11 a.m. in the Sports Center, North Gymnasium, followed by a luncheon is at 12:15 p.m. in the Sports Center, Field House. Tickets for the luncheon are $12 and must be purchased in advance. You may purchase tickets online.
