Ohio Northern University’s Gamma Upsilon chapter of Phi Beta Delta and CASE (Committee on the Arts and Special Events) present Jonathon Andreas, economics professor at Bluffton University, in the Dicke Forum on Thursday, Feb. 21, at 7:30 p.m.

The Spotts Lecture

Keng-Siang Lim, founder, chairman and chief executive officer of NextLabs, will be the featured speaker for the Ohio Northern University College of Engineering’s Spotts Lecture in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts on Monday, Feb. 25, at 7:30 p.m.


Distinguished Lecturer in Plasma Physics, Feb. 25
Dr. Steven Spangler, professor of astronomy and physics at the University of Iowa, will be the Ohio Northern University Distinguished Lecturer of Plasma Physics in room 107 in the Meyer Hall of Science on Monday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m.

Entrepreneur workshop covers pricing products

The Community Economic Development Center (CEDC) at Ohio Northern University continues its entrepreneurship workshop series in the Dicke Forum on Tuesday, Feb. 26. The workshop will be preceded by a networking event at 5:30 p.m. The workshop will follow the networking event and conclude at 7 p.m.

Spotlight: Faculty & Staff 

Medical and educational supplies donated in Ghana
Kofi Nsia-Pepra, Ph.D., assistant professor of political science, presented approximately $50,000 worth of medical and educational supplies to organizations in Ghana while in the country for his mother’s funeral. The Kwabre East district health directorate thanked
Nsia-Pepra and expressed appreciation for the items which included donations from ONU faculty, staff and students and the Puritan Street Church of Christ, Detroit, Mich.

Learn to Swim Classes

Registrations are now being accepted for swim classes for ages 4-12. Two sessions of learn to swim classes will be offered March 10, 17, 24, and April 7, 14 in the ONU Natatorium.

Pharmacy student receives APhA scholarship
Victoria Pennington, a fourth-year pharmacy student from Groveport, Ohio, was awarded the Gloria Francke Scholarship as part of the 2013 American Pharmacists Association Foundation Student Scholarship Program.
