Ohio Northern Plans Move-in Day

Aug 28, 2007
Undergraduate classes at Ohio Northern University will begin Tuesday, Sept. 4. In preparation, opening activities have been scheduled to welcome new and returning students to the university community.

New students will be moving into their residence halls on Saturday, Sept. 1. A parent/family send off will be held later that day at 4 p.m. in front of Founders Hall, with a picnic for the new students immediately following at 5 p.m. Also taking place on Saturday will be the annual Playfair get-acquainted event at 6:30 p.m., in the Sports Center.

Karen Condeni, vice president and dean of enrollment said, "We are very excited about the new class enrolling this fall. We expect over 800 new undergraduates, a very talented group representing 27 states in addition to Ohio, along with an increased international population. Enrollment should be strong again with close to 3,600 total students."

Other social activities and academic year preparation events are planned for Sunday, Sept. 2, and Monday, Sept. 3.
