Portrait unveiled

President Dan DiBiasio and Chris Burns-DiBiasio returned to Wilmington College last week to participate in a special ceremony, during which DiBiasio's portrait was added to the college's Presidential Portrait Gallery. Read more on Wilmington's website.

AACSB continues ONU business school accreditation
The Dicke College of Business Administration at Ohio Northern University has maintained its business accreditation by AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master’s and doctoral degrees in business and accounting.

Cose to speak Jan. 24
Ellis Cose, award-winning journalist and author, will speak in ONU’s McIntosh Ballroom on Thursday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m., as part of ONU’s week of activities commemorating Martin Luther King Jr.  This event is free and open to the public. A columnist and contributing editor for Newsweek magazine from 1993 to 2010 and former chairman of the editorial board and editorial page editor of the New York Daily News, Cose began his journalism career as a weekly columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times, becoming, at the age of 19, the youngest editorial page columnist ever employed by a major Chicago daily. He went on to become an editor and national correspondent for the paper.

ONU to present 'The Soul Rebels'
Ohio Northern University's Freed Center for the Performing Arts will present The Soul Rebels Brass Band in the Stambaugh Theater on Friday, Jan. 25, at 7:30 p.m. The concert is being held in conjunction with the Martin Luther King Jr. celebration week at ONU.   

Polar Bear Indoor Marathon, Jan. 27

The fourth annual ONU Polar Bear Indoor Marathon will be held Sunday, Jan. 27, beginning at 7:30 a.m. in the ONU Sports Center. One of only four indoor marathons in the U.S., the ONU Polar Bear Marathon will host 40 runners competing at the marathon and half marathon distances of 26.2 and 13.1 miles respectively.

Entrepreneur workshop series to tackle small business taxes
The Community Economic Development Center (CEDC) at Ohio Northern University continues its entrepreneurship workshop series in the Dicke Forum on Tuesday, Jan. 29. The workshop will be preceded by a networking event at 5:30 p.m. The workshop will follow the networking event and conclude at 7 p.m.

Learn to Swim Classes

Registrations are now being accepted for swim classes for ages 4-12. Two sessions of learn to swim classes will be offered March 10, 17, 24, April 7, 4 in the ONU Natatorium.

The Mu Delta chapter of Beta Alpha Psi at Ohio Northern University’s James F. Dicke College of Business Administration has been named a semifinalist for the Beta Alpha Psi Ethics Award sponsored by Grant Thornton LLC.
