Center for Teacher Education earns national reaccreditation
Ohio Northern’s Center for Teacher Education received full reaccreditation for its undergraduate teacher training programs for seven years through the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). “The reaccreditation of our Center for Teacher Education by NCATE demonstrates our commitment to excellence in our teacher training programs and assures our current and future students that our education programs meet the highest state and national standards for academic excellence,” said Daniel A. DiBiasio, ONU president.

Sebok Lecture coming Jan. 18
Julie A. Johnson, Pharm.D., BCPS, FCCP, FAHA, distinguished professor of pharmacy at the University of Florida Colleges of Pharmacy and Medicine, will be the guest speaker for the Sebok Pharmacy Lecture at at the Freed Center for the Performing Arts on Jan. 18 at 1 p.m.

Amy L. Stockert, Ph.D., associate professor of biochemistry, has been named Baccalaureate Colleges Associate Director of Sigma Xi. Her three-year term begins July 1, 2013.

Forrest Clingerman, associate professor of religion, is author of an essay published in the latest issue of Theology (January 2013; Vol. 116, No. 1).

Reslife looking for assistants
Applications for Residence Life assistants (RA) are now being accepted. RAs serve as a resource to other residents, are knowledgeable about campus activities and encourage students to get to know each other. Applications are due by Dec. 14.

Lyle contributes to advent devotional
Sarah Lyle, a senior in psychology from Canal Winchester, Ohio, has been chosen as a contributor for the 2012 West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church Immigrant Welcoming Congregations Advent Devotional.
