Dankook University Friendship-Scholarship Award

In recognition of our relationship with Dankook University in Seoul, South Korea, ONU awards two Dankook University Friendship-Scholarship Awards to graduating seniors who’ve demonstrated high scholastic achievement and exemplary participation in the extra- and co-curricular programs at Northern. The Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering, and Pharmacy may each nominate two graduating seniors for this award. From those nominated, two students will be chosen to receive this honor. The winners will receive a plaque on Honors Day in recognition of their achievements.

ImageThe selection process begins when each of ONU’s undergraduate deans nominates two students to receive the award. Next, ONU’s vice president of academic affairs selects two students from this pool of eight and sends their names to the University president for approval. Finally, the two names are sent to Dankook University.

The Getty College of Arts and Sciences looks to nominate students possessing the following characteristics. (The other colleges have established their own criteria.
