Grant to assist campus recycling efforts
Efforts by William Kent, mailroom supervisor, and Lee Ann Hall, director of Business Services and Risk Management, have resulted in a grant of $2,500 to Ohio Northern University from the North Central Ohio Solid Waste District.
Funds will be used to support the University’s recycling program on campus. The new program targets the 77 academic and administrative departments. The funds will be used to purchase 64-gallon black bins and orange liners that will be placed in strategic locations on the first floor inside campus buildings. Smaller recycling bins with liners are being provided by the University to interested faculty and staff to keep in their office areas. It is the responsibility of these individuals to empty the filled bags into the large bins. ONU students will empty the large bins into the Allied Waste dumpsters. To secure a small bin for your office area, contact William Kent at ext. 2062.
