Friday! Today, many students had final exams to take but since both of my exams were written papers, I had already completed my work for the summer. My Global Ethics professor took us to Insadong to eat a vegan lunch, which was suitable for the class in which we learned that eating a vegetarian diet not only helps with animal cruelty, but also with slowing climate change and global warming! It was very filling! Since it was a buffet style, we could pick and choose everything to try once and then eat what we liked most!
After lunch, our entire summer class accumulated in the auditorium where I feel like we only met a few days ago to graduate and say goodbye. Many tears were shed, but ultimately it was the best experience of my life. I feel like I speak for everyone when I say we would do this again in a heartbeat and feel so blessed to have been given the opportunity to participate in such an eye-opening experience. Not only are we leaving with life-long friends, but we are leaving changed. We have learned new perspectives of the world through new friends we have met and through conversations we've had with new professors. Hanyang University and Ohio Northern University have provided us all with something we will never be able to do again and for that, I am so grateful.
EunJu! One special person who helped make our experience here absolutely unforgettable :)
In closing, I would encourage anyone at ONU who is a current student to APPLY!! for this once in a lifetime experience! The program has a unique atmosphere that unites students from all walks of life under one roof to explore, share, learn, and grow. Coming into this program, I did not know what to fully expect, but I hope this blog helps future students to get an idea of what this fellowship program entails and to have the courage to apply for this unforgettable and life changing experience.
I can personally assure you, you will not regret it!
