David CragoColloquium 2012
Ohio Northern University students representing all four undergraduate colleges will present their research at the ONU Student Research Colloquium on Friday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., in McIntosh Center. The Student Research Colloquium is a true showcase for undergraduate research, with students scheduled to present 76 projects this year. For students, research bridges the gap between knowledge and experience and provides for career exploration and development.

David CragoONU to recognize academic achievement at Honors Day
Ohio Northern University celebrates its 40th annual Honors Day program on Saturday, April 28, from 8:15 a.m. until 5 p.m.
This year’s Honors Day continues the rich tradition of ONU’s colleges and departments recognizing students and faculty members for scholarly achievement and service to the University community. More than 40 undergraduate academic departments and honor societies will present awards and induct new members.

Free Youth Football Clinic, April 29

A free youth football clinic will be offered from noon to 1:30 p.m., April 29 at ONU’s Dial Roberson Stadium. The program is open to children ages 6-13. A free T-shirt will be given to participants who register in advance. Gospel Ensemble to celebrate 25 years of music
Ohio Northern University’s Gospel Ensemble will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a concert in the ONU English Chapel on Saturday, April 29, at 4 p.m.

Public works project detours campus traffic

West Lincoln Avenue will remain closed until Sept. 1, 2012, due to the Lincoln Avenue Phase II project. Detour signs have been placed on Main Street directing traffic to the sports and science complexes. Check the campus map for details.

David CragoPodcast talks about International Service Learning
Ken Reid, director of first year engineering, and Chris North, associate professor of communication arts, have been invited to prepare a webinar/podcast on "International Service Learning" for the American Society for Quality (ASQ). The webinar is based on a workshop presented at the North Central ASEE Conference, recently held at Ohio Northern. The video is now featured as the Top  Editor's Pick on the Knowledge Center home page, and it has the top spot on the Social Responsibility topic page.

Estell presents at 2012 ABET symposium
Dr. John K. Estell, professor of computer science and computer engineering, was an invited presenter at the 2012 ABET symposium held April 19-21 in St. Louis, Mo.

April is tornado awareness month

In case of a tornado warning, you should stay inside a safe area until the warning is cancelled. The University's outdoor warning siren is activated when a tornado warning is issued. It is tested on the first Friday of each month at approximately noon.
