Speaker to talk about diplomacy and the Middle East
Dr. Trita Parsi, author of “Treacherous Alliance - The Secret Dealings of Iran, Israel and the United States,” Yale University Press, 2007, will speak at 7 p.m., April 24 in the McIntosh Ballaroom, presented by Phi Beta Delta and the Committee on Cultural Affairs and Special Events (CASE).
His topic will be “Iran, Israel, and the United States: Another Middle East War?"
Parsi is recipient of the Council on Foreign Relation's 2008 Arthur Ross Silver Medallion and the 2010 Grawemeyer Award for Ideas Improving World Order. His latest book, “A Single Roll of the Dice - Obama's Diplomacy with Iran,” is being released this year. He wrote his doctoral thesis on Israeli-Iranian relations under Professor Francis Fukuyama and Drs. Zbigniew Brzezinski, R. K. Ramazani, Jakub Grygiel and Charles Doran at Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies while heading the largest Iranian-American organization in the U.S., the National Iranian American Council (NIAC).
