The Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy and OhioHealth have partnered to co-sponsor a one-year Executive Fellowship in Pharmacy Administration and Professional Leadership.

Entrepreneurship workshop on social media offered

The Entrepreneur Center in Ohio Northern University's James F. Dicke College of Business Administration continues its entrepreneurship workshops with Matt Brown, who will speak on "Social Media? Is it right for my small business?" in the Dicke Forum on Tuesday, March 13, at 5:30 p.m.

'War and Counter-Terrorism in the Caucasus'

David R. Smith, Ohio Northern University associate professor of geography, will discuss "War and Counter-Terrorism in the Caucasus" during the Phi Beta Delta International Forum in the Dicke Forum on Thursday, March 15, at 7 p.m.

 

ONU to host affirmative action national briefing

The Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law will present a discussion about affirmative action in the Celebrezze Moot Court Room on Wednesday, March 21, at 2 p.m.   

 

ONU presents Carroll V. Lovett Distinguished Lecture 

Ohio Northern University's James F. Dicke College of Business Administration will present "Moral Courage," a lecture by Signe S. Gates, as part of the Carroll V. Lovett Distinguished Lecture Series in the Dicke Forum on Wednesday, March 21, at 7 p.m.

 

 GENUS Series opens at the Elzay Gallery

Could art be the missing link? Oxford, Ohio, native John Bavaro would probably say yes. His current exhibition in the Elzay Gallery of Art at Ohio Northern University uses both traditional and digital painting to examine the similarities between humans and non-human primates. "The GENUS Series: Human and Non-Human Primate Portraits Genus" is on view through March 30.

 

Time to plan for summer camps
Ohio Northern's beautiful campus is a great place to be this summer. ONU has a camp for every interest from music to science to athletics. Students in grades 7-12 can earn academic credit or just have fun!

ONU  Law professor appointed to Ohio Supreme Court's Commission on Professionalism

Bryan Ward, Ohio Northern University director of clinical programs and professor at the Pettit College of Law, was appointed to the Ohio Supreme Court's Commission on Professionalism in January 2012. He will serve a three-year term that will expire Dec. 31, 2014.   

 

Alexander quoted in CNBC article

In an article on PACs, Robert Alexander, associate professor of political science, says, "President Obama's reversal on his pledge not to accept Super PAC money speaks to the significant role his campaign believes these organizations play in 2012....Money has the effect of attracting more of it." Follow ONU experts in the ONU Pressroom.   

 

Science Fair needs judges

Judges are needed for the Ohio Academy of Science district science day on March 24 at ONU. For full details, contact  Melissa Keifer or Jane Brown.
