ONU's Wind Orchestra will perform "Cities and Far Away Places" in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts on Thursday, March 1, at 7:30 p.m.

2012 Carhart Program on Legal Ethics

The Pettit College of Law will present the 2012 Carhart Program on Legal Ethics on Friday, March 2, at 11 a.m. in the Celebrezze Moot Court Room. The program will feature professor Charles Dunlap's presentation, "Ethical Issues in the Practice of National Security Law: A Perspective" and professor David Luban's "The Government Lawyer as Advisor: Some Hard Lessons of the Last 10 Years."

GENUS Series opens at the Elzay Gallery

Could art be the missing link? Oxford, Ohio, native John Bavaro would probably say yes. His current exhibition in the Elzay Gallery of Art at Ohio Northern University uses both traditional and digital painting to examine the similarities between humans and non-human primates. "The GENUS Series: Human and Non-Human Primate Portraits Genus" is on view through March 30.

Time to plan for summer camps

Ohio Northern's beautiful campus is a great place to be this summer. ONU has a camp for every interest from music to science to athletics. Students in grades 7-12 can earn academic credit or just have fun!

Kanwit to publish book on Victorian art commentary

Dr. John Paul Kanwit, assistant professor of English, is the author of the book "Authority and Access: Victorian Art Commentary and the Popularization of Art," which has been accepted for publication by the Ohio State University Press.

Kiefer honored for Excellence in the Visual Arts

Mayumi Kiefer, a senior studio arts major from Troy, Ohio, is a recipient of the 2012 Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (AICUO) Award for Excellence in the Visual Arts (EVA). She also is a finalist for the Grand Award, which includes a cash prize of $2,500.

2012 Learn to Swim classes slated

Registrations are now being accepted for learn to swim classes for ages 4-12, presented by ONU students to benefit the ONU Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams.
