Grants received

Recent grants will provide robotics laboratory equipment at ONU and community service in Ada.

Dr. John-David Yoder, professor and chairman of mechanical engineering, has received a $7,900 grant from The P&G Fund of The Greater Cincinnati Foundation to support the proposal, “"Broadening and Deepening the Robotics Laboratory at Ohio Northern.” The funds will purchase equipment to supplement the laboratory component of a new robotics course to be offered in the spring of 2012 in the T.J. Smull College of Engineering.

Thanks to the efforts of Justin Courtney, director of Residence Life, and his residential assistants, a $5,000 donation from Dorm-In-A- Box ® has been received and will be used by ONU’s ResLife Serves to support community service initiatives in Ada.  An additional $5,000 from Dorm-In-A- Box ®, given in the name of Ohio Northern University, was donated to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, which is one of the philanthropic efforts supported by the Office of Residence Life.  Through this, Hardin County children from birth to age 5 who are enrolled in the program received over 200 books.
