Three holiday concerts coming to the Freed Center
'Tis the season for amazing music at Ohio Northern University's Freed Center for the Performing Arts.

Guidance Counselors to visit ONU
ONU’s Financial Aid office is hosting a guidance counselor on Dec. 8. The event is sponsored by the Ohio Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and brings as many as 55 area guidance counselors to campus. Participants receive updates on the financial aid process and any changes made by the Department of Education. ONU takes turns hosting this event with other area institutions.

Gale Daugherty to be honored at weekend basketball game
Players, coaches, alumni and fans will honor former men's basketball head coach Gale Daughtery at halftime of the Polar Bears' home game against John Carroll, Saturday, Dec. 10. Daughtery coached the Polar Bears from 1972-72 through the 1991-92, amassing a 310-218 overall record at a .587 winning percentage.

Iseman recognized as Outstanding Faculty Adviser for PRSSA
Dr. Steve Iseman, retired professor of public relations, was recently awarded the Dr. F. H. Teahan Chapter Award for Outstanding Faculty Advisor at the 2011 Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) National Conference in Orlando, Fla. This award is based on his outstanding service to the Ohio Northern University PRSSA chapter.

ONU photographer places third in image competition
Ken Colwell, Ohio Northern University’s associate director of web design, has been awarded third place in the University Photographers Association of America’s (UPAA) Monthly Image Competition.

‘Feet for Fines’ at Heterick Library'
Heterick Memorial Library patrons with overdue books can help others while clearing up their fines. Now through Dec. 12, patrons who bring in children's shoes, socks or non-perishable food will have their fines waived. For details visit the Heterick Memorial Library circulation desk.
