‘Working with the SBDC’ subject for entrepreneurship workshop

Ohio Northern University’s James F. Dicke College of Business Administration presents the next installment of its entrepreneurship workshop series in the Dicke Forum on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 5:30 p.m.

Titled “Working with the SBDC,” the workshop will be presented by Craig Alan Brown.

Brown attended Ohio University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in organizational communications. After graduation, he took over his family’s restaurant until selling the business in 2000. From there, Brown began working as a business advisor for the Ohio Small Business Development Center at Rhodes State College. In 2007, he received his master’s degree in workforce development and education from Ohio State University.

In the last five years, Brown has had 639 counseling cases and more than 5,074 counseling hours in Northwest Ohio. Through his work, Brown has built up a network of collaborative projects with a number of colleges, including Ohio Northern.

The workshop will be preceded by a networking event from 5:30 to 6 p.m. The workshop will follow the networking event and conclude at 7 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Tammy Schakett, assistant professor of entrepreneurship, at t-schakett@onu.edu or 419-772-2079.
