ONU to host heroin panel

Ohio Northern University will host “Schools and Prevention,” a panel discussion on heroin, on Monday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. in the forum of James F. Dicke Hall.

Ohio Northern’s Department of History, Politics and Justice is sponsoring the event, which is free and open to the public.

The panel will consist of two area professionals: Lorrie Lewandowski, program coordinator and supervisor of the Wood County Educational Service Center (WCESC) School and Community-Based Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug (ATOD) Prevention Program, and Brenda Jennings, a nurse with Kenton City Schools.

The Department of History, Politics and Justice plans to host two additional panel discussions this year: “Drug Courts and Prison Drug Counseling” and a seminar on legalization.
