Reid presents papers at Frontiers in Education conference

Dr. Ken Reid, director of engineering education, recently presented five papers at the Frontiers in Education conference in Rapid City, S.D., a conference offered through the American Society for Engineering Education and the IEEE Education Society.  

The papers included "Work in Progress - Putting the “E” in STEM Teacher Preparation: A New Bachelor of Science Degree with an Engineering Education Major," co-authored with Dean Eric Baumgartner; "Interdisciplinary International Preprofessional Service within the First-Year Engineering Curriculum," co-authored by Robin White, assistant professor of nursing, and Chris North, associate professor of communication arts; "Algae as a Biofuel: An Interdisciplinary High School Curriculum Incorporating Engineering, Biology and Education" co-authored by Debra Gallagher,  assistant professor of education, and Robert Verb, professor of biology, and two others on joint research work with Purdue University.  All papers are available online at http://fie-conference.org/.
