Chemistry seniors, Russell Spatney from Mantau, Ohio, and Thomas Allen from Wilmington, Ohio,  recently presented their research at the American Chemical Society National Meeting in Denver, Colo. The five-day conference, Aug. 28-Sept. 1, saw more than 10,000 chemists in attendance. Spatney works with Dr. Jake Zimmerman on developing greener ways to design chemical reactions. Allen works with Dr. Brian Myers on a project that focuses on new catalyst design. Both plan to attend graduate school next year
