Honor the Bakers

The Ohio Northern University Board of Trustees established the Dr. Kendall L. Baker, President Emeritus, and Mrs. Toby Baker Endowed Scholarship in a board resolution presented May 20. Recipients of these scholarship funds will be known as “Baker Scholars.”

In the amount of $1 million, the scholarship will be established at the conclusion of The Campaign for Ohio Northern University’s Tomorrow.

Dr. Kendall Baker, who also was granted the honorary title of president emeritus Ohio Northern University, will retire from ONU on July 1 after 12 years of service.

“Dr. Baker and Toby have given a selfless 12 years to the University, and we wanted to recognize their tireless devotion, commitment, enthusiasm and vision to ONU with these honors,” said Robert Smith, chairman of ONU’s Board of Trustees.
