Libby Druesedow

Name: Libby Druesedow

Year: Junior

Hometown: Sharon Center, OH

Major: Music Performance, clarinet

Involvement at ONU: Music Ambassador, Student Conductor for the ONU Symphony Orchestra, Principal Clarinet in Wind Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra, member of Tau Beta Sigma Honorary Band Sorority

Why did you choose ONU: I chose ONU because I really enjoy the small campus feel. My Grandfather, Mother, and sister attended ONU and I was familiar with the campus before I started looking for schools. They were also very generous with their scholarships like the talent award that the music department gives.

Why do you like ONU: The music department here feels like a second family to me.  Everyone here has a way with looking out for each other and I feel that the faculty here are my friends and not my professors.  I have also been given opportunities for performing that I wouldn't have gotten if I had chosen to go to a bigger school.

Future plans after graduation: After graduation I wish to go to grad school to study both clarinet performance and instrumental conducting and after grad school I would like to be a member/conductor of a symphony orchestra and/or teach clarinet and conducting at the university level.
