Donation benefits Imagination Library

Hardin County children enrolled in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library will benefit from a donation coordinated by ONU’s Office of Residence Life.

A $5,000 donation from Chris Vahlkamp, president of Dorm-In-A-Box, was designated for the Residence Life philanthropy project, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Hardin County. The program provides a free book each month for enrolled children from birth to age five. ONU’s Office of Residence Life became an official sponsor of the Imagination Library in 2010 in conjunction with the United Way of Hardin County, YMCA and the Public Libraries of Hardin County.

In addition, Vahlkamp donated an additional $5,000 to be used to support other Residence Life service initiatives the Ada and Hardin County.
