ONU graduate Krak awarded Tau Beta Pi Fellowship
Michael David Krak, a Senecaville, Ohio, native who graduated from Ohio Northern University in 2011 with a degree in mechanical engineering, was awarded a graduate fellowship from Tau Beta Pi, the engineering honor society, for the 2011-12 year.
Krak, the son of Cheryl and David Krak, will receive a cash stipend of $10,000 to pursue graduate work at Ohio State University. He plans to pursue a doctorate degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on vibration analysis.
Tau Beta Pi Fellowships are awarded on the basis of high scholarship, campus leadership and service, and the promise of future contributions to the engineering profession.
Krak was corresponding secretary of Ohio Iota Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, an active member of ONU’s chapter of American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and a member of ONU’s Human Powered Vehicle Team. Krak also is a member of Phi Eta Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies. He is a 2006 graduate of Meadowbrook High School.
